Preparations have started as the North East Bulls Wheelchair Rugby Club look ahead to hosting their annual tournament at their training venue and home, Sedgefield Community College. The tournament will take place on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd June 2024 with teams being invited from across the northern region of England and Scotland in a tournament dubbed this year as Four Teams One Cup.
The tournament is highly anticipated by new and returning teams and players as they prepare themselves for a weekend of social wheelchair rugby and the legendary Saturday night party, including pie and peas, a Spotify shuffle and of course, as it’s a Paralympic year, the return of the Drinking Paralympics!
Teams will be advised to train themselves and prepare for a gruelling evening of Paralympic themed drinking events including the Boat Race (800m Team Relay), the Upside Down Pint (Gymnastics) and the Straight Up See It Off (100m Sprint) to finish.
Spectators are welcome to both the tournament and social evening, more details will follow once the venue has been confirmed.
The club are on the lookout for sponsorships or donations to our annual tournament as for some reason we keep deciding to make entry free for invited teams!
If you would like to donate, you can do so via our JustGiving page, and if you are interested in sponsoring the event then please Contact Us and a member of the team will get back to you.
